Aging brings many joys–grandchildren, more free time in retirement, and wisdom gained over the decades. But, at the same time, our older years can also bring the loss of loved ones, stresses of age-related health concerns, or diminished self-esteem.
Community Hospital-Fairfax’s Senior Life Solutions program, an intensive group counseling program for individuals over age 65, aims to provide assistance to people who are dealing with emotional or behavioral issues often related to aging. If you or someone you know suffers from any of the following, this program might be right for you.
Loss of a Loved One
Decreased Energy
Difficulty Sleeping/Eating
Life Transitions
Acting as a Caregiver
Recent Health Diagnosis
Chronic Health Condition
Feeling Lonely or Isolated
Feeling of Uncertainty and Worry
Loss of Interest
Following an individual assessment, group participants meet three times per week in a supportive, encouraging setting. The program staff includes a board-certified psychiatrist, a licensed social worker, a registered nurse, and other professionals dedicated to the emotional well being of the seniors in our community.
Please note that no physician or health professional referral is needed. Family members or self recommendations to the program are encouraged.
CH-F has seen individuals from the age of 47-98. Check to see if you are eligible today!
Ensure you or your loved ones get the help they deserve.
