We are pleased to promote the exciting field of healthcare in our community. We offer a Student Observer Program to give students the opportunity to shadow our healthcare professionals and learn more about the field and healthcare in rural settings.
For students 16 and over that are not enrolled in a healthcare program, we offer up to 8 hours of observation at the hospital. (If you are a student enrolled in a healthcare post high school program, you may observe for more than 8 hours and should contact Human Resources at (660) 686-2362.)
Students wishing to participate in our Student Observer Program (those not in a healthcare related program) must complete the following prior to being scheduled for a Student Observer experience.
1. Complete the application to observe. (Scroll down for application).
2. Download and read the Student Observer Program Guide. Student Observer Program 23
4. Complete the confidentiality forms (below) and return to Community Hospital-Fairfax at 26136 Hwy 59, Fairfax, MO 64491 Attn. Renee Craven or return scanned to reneec@fairfaxmed.com)
Parent Permission (Required for students under 18) Student Observer Program
When the application, quiz and confidentiality forms are complete, the student will be scheduled. While we work very hard to ensure that all requests are accommodated, we may not be able to ensure a student observer experience for all who request.
